If you served in a combat zone or overseas in support of military operations —
you belong here.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) is one of the most respected and impactful veterans’ organizations in the United States. When you join the VFW, you become part of a nationwide network of veterans who share your experiences, understand your service, and are committed to supporting one another and their communities.
1. Camaraderie and Support
You're never alone. The VFW connects you with fellow veterans who understand the challenges of military service, deployment, and transition to civilian life. It offers a supportive environment where you can share experiences, make lifelong friendships, and find purpose after service.
2. Advocacy for Veterans' Rights
The VFW is a powerful voice on Capitol Hill. It fights for legislation and policies that protect and expand veterans' benefits, including healthcare, disability compensation, education, and retirement. By joining, you help shape the future for all veterans.
3. Access to Valuable Benefits
Members receive:
Assistance with VA claims and appeals
Scholarships for members and their families
Discounts on insurance, travel, and more
Emergency financial aid through the VFW’s Unmet Needs program
